Due to legislative requirements, any * (asterisk) indicates a required field. Please be sure to complete all required fields prior to submitting your forms to Ideal Savings.

    • Complete if you want to open a new account or make any changes to an existing one
    • Originals must be mailed to Ideal Savings
    • If you are opening a TFSA, please complete the form for TFSAs
    • When adding a new signor to an existing account, please also include a personalized cheque signed by the new signor
    • You do not need to complete a separate Designation of Beneficiary form if you are assigning an Estate or only one beneficiary. If multiple beneficiaries are listed then you must use a separate TFSA Beneficiary Designation form. Details such as Branch, etc. are to be entered once we post the investment.

    • Account Application Form (TFSAs) – You do not need to complete a separate Designation of Beneficiary form if you are assigning an Estate or only one beneficiary. If multiple beneficiaries are listed then you must use a separate TFSA Beneficiary Designation form. Details such as Branch, etc. are to be entered once we post the investment.
      • Effective July 1, 2017 it is required by Canada Revenue Agency that we have all new account holders complete the Declaration of Tax Residence form
      • If account is joint, both parties must complete the form

  • Complete when opening new tax-free savings (TFSA) product
  • Originals must be mailed to Ideal Savings
  • For existing account holders who want to open a TFSA product, complete and send this form only
  • For NEW account holders, please complete the form under the section ‘Account Application (for all new account openings)
  • If you share an account and you want to open a TFSA contract for each individual account holder, two separate TFSA applications are required
  • TFSA Account Application Form – You do not need to complete a separate Designation of Beneficiary form if you are assigning an Estate or only one beneficiary. If multiple beneficiaries are listed then you must use a separate TFSA Beneficiary Designation form. Details such as Branch, etc. are to be entered once we post the investment.
  • Complete to designate a beneficiary to your funds in the unfortunate circumstance of your death
  • Originals must be mailed to Ideal Savings
  • Provide SIN for spouses and common-law beneficiaries
  • You must have a witness sign the form (should not be a beneficiary or relative)
  • Should you wish to change your beneficiary you must submit a new form

  • Complete if you would like to transfer in an existing TFSA from another financial institution
  • Originals must be mailed to Ideal Savings
  • In Part I of this form, you are required to fill out information from your existing contract with the other financial institution. If you’re not sure what the contract and/or deposit numbers are you can either ask them for the information or attach your TFSA statement and we will complete this section for you.
  • It can take four to six weeks to receive your funds from the transferring financial institution. We cannot guarantee the time-frame of the transferring institution.
  • TFSA Direct Transfer-In Form
  • Complete if you need to provide us with instructions on how to invest your funds
  • Originals can be mailed to Ideal Savings (if cheque is required) or you can scan and email the form (if funds are already available in your Ideal Savings account)
  • Your deposit will be completed within one business day after the request is received
  • Deposit Form (Ideal Savings & GIC)
  • Deposit Form (TFSA)
  • Complete this form to have funds automatically transferred from another financial institution account to your Ideal Savings account
  • For one-time or recurring transfers
  • No sending limits
  • Originals can be sent by mail or scanned and emailed
  • Please allow five business days to set up and make any changes to the transaction
  • Funds may only be transferred from an account for which we have a cheque on file
  • Automated Funds Transfer-In Form
  • Complete this form to have funds automatically transferred from your Ideal Savings account to an account at another financial institution
  • For one-time or recurring transfers
  • No sending limits
  • Funds may only be transferred to one of the accounts they were deposited from (cheque we have on file)
  • Originals can be sent by mail or scanned and emailed
  • Please allow five business days to set up and make any changes to the transaction
