Ideal Savings online investment banking provides you with secure 24/7 access to your accounts and bill payment services. Once you have your personal user name and password, you can login to your account anytime by clicking ‘login to account’ at the top of any Ideal Savings web page. For quicker access, add our website to your Favorites!

How to print your account activity:

Login to our secure online banking site
Look under the left side menu and click on ‘Balances’
Choose the account you’d like to see activity for
Scroll to the bottom of the page and choose the dates of activity to print
Click the printer icon to print

Before you go to pay a bill you need to first add a payee to your bill payment account.

How to add a payee:

Login to our secure online banking site
Look under the left side menu and click on ‘Manage Payee List’
Complete the required fields
Any changes made to payees will appear the following business day.

How to pay a bill:

To make a one-time payment:

Login to our secure online banking site
Look under the left side menu and click on ‘Bill Payments’
Type the amount to pay beside the correct payee
To post-date a payment, change the date beside the payment amount
Click ‘Pay Bills’
Verify all the information is correct and click ‘Confirm’

To make a recurring payment:

Login to our secure online banking site
Look under the left side menu and click on ‘Single/Recurring Bill Payment’
Complete the required fields and click ‘Pay Bill’
Verify all the information is correct and click ‘Confirm’

To avoid late charges payments should be made three business days prior to the due date.

An e-alert is a transaction email notification that will be sent to you when there is activity in your Ideal Savings account. These alerts will be set up automatically and are a free and secure way to be informed of your account activity – and they help protect against fraud.

If your email is compromised or if you lose your phone, no one will be able make any changes to your account, take funds or find personal account information in the message.

Interac® e-Transfer is a simple, convenient, and secure way to send and receive money directly from one bank account to another. All you need is access to Ideal Savings online banking, and you can send money to anyone with an email address or mobile phone number and a bank account in Canada — without sharing any personal financial information. It’s a great alternative to cheques and cash.

  • From the left-hand menu, click on the ‘e-Transfers’ link. The first time you do this you will be prompted to create a user profile.
  • Click the ‘e-Transfer’ link on the left-hand side window.
  • Select a recipient, or add a new recipient profile, by entering the person’s name or business name, plus an email address and/or mobile number.
  • Add an option personal message but don’t include the answer to the security question.
  • Select an account from which to make the transfer and enter the amount.
  • Send the e-Transfer.
  • Please logout of the Interac® site when finished and close your browser.

The recipient will receive a text message and/or email containing a hyperlink to access the funds 30 minutes after the transfer has been sent. Once the recipient has answered the security question, the funds can be deposited immediately, with no holds.

  • Ensure the link received via email or text message offers a secure connection that takes you to a site with the ‘https’ prefix, rather than ‘http’.
  • Click on the link and you’ll be taken to a secure Interac® website.
  • Follow the instructions on the site to select ‘Carpathia Credit Union’ and click ‘Deposit’, and you’ll be redirected to our online banking login screen.
  • Login to online banking to answer the security question.
  • After successfully answering the security question you will be prompted to either ‘Accept’ or ‘Decline’ the transfer.
  • If you choose ‘Accept’, a drop down list will appear and you will then choose which account the funds should be deposited into. If this list is empty please contact us.
  • Click ‘Confirm’ to complete the transaction or ‘Edit’ to make any changes. Once you confirm, the funds will be automatically deposited to your account. To print a receipt, press the ‘Print Receipt’ link.
